Got up this morning at the beach. Ran for an hour in 35 degree weather and rain. I was however, toasty warm in very little clothing. Three lite layers on top and a Headsweat Sweattech Beanie, this thing is awesome. I was previously running with a lightweight wool beanie. I consistently would be drenched or need to take the tuke off mid run due to overheating. This new Headsweat Sweattech Beanie rocked, and was covered with a sweet layer of white sweat on the top at the end of my run.

AM Swim
Made it to the Y-pool this morning for a swim even though it was 11 degrees outside, the pool felt good. This mornings swim workout consisted of 4 times of the following set:
4x50
2x100
200
2400 yards
I followed this up with 20 minutes on the treadmill. Just came home to get some calories and then I will be on the spin bike for an hour and another 40 minutes on the treadmill. Total for the day 2:45.

Headsweat Sponsor goodies arrived!
"Christmas just came early," said Ryan when he came home to a box full of Headsweat goodies for our Hearn's Triathlon Racing Team. Headsweats is one of our team gear sponsors for 2011 and we are thrilled to try out some of their winter "head" gear. I took one of my new warm lids out for a run yesterday in the 30 degree weather with snow, and my head stayed nice and warm. It was cool how the hat allowed my head to "breathe" when I got all heated up. This is my new favorite winter beanie and I plan to take out for my next cold training run. Thank you Headsweats!

I (Teddy) am heading to club cross country nationals on Saturday 12/11 on our running sponsors team Jus' Running. We have a pretty good team, I am by far the slowest there, so wish us luck as we go against some of the fastest runners in the country!
Great race on 12/4 in Montford! Thanks to Greg Duff for putting on another fun race and for a worthy cause. I got 2nd overall on a tough, hilly 5k course in my best 5k time yet, 17:56.

New Sponsors
Teddy, Daphne, and Ryan are excited to report we have added to the list of 2011 sponsors for the Hearn's Triathlon Team. Joining us in 2011 will be Jus' Running, Ultimate Ice Cream, Affordable Bedding, Headsweats, and Myers Chiropractic. We are still looking for a few more folks to sign up by the end of the year. Then we will start designing the teams uniforms. Until then we are currently working on building those training plans that will make magic happen next year. We hope everyone is enjoying the holidays with family and friends.
